OUR SDG commitment
Developed by the UN and deployed in Catalonia since 2019, the Sustainable Development Goals are part of the 2030 Agenda. They consist of 17 objectives and 169 targets.

Adhering to these goals is a commitment to follow a transformative will where economic and social development focusses on equal rights and opportunities for the people and their dignity, the respect for the environment and its care.
The values that Procamp Reus has defended since its foundation fit with the SDGs.

The company’s will to keep up with the times has made us adopt them as the backbone of our operation as a company.
Within the deployment of the third SDG we have promoted healthy eating and lifestyle habits among our staff. We have also built resting areas with vegetation within company grounds. On that note, we have invested in adapted machinery in order to keep occupational hazards to a mínimum, avoiding physical overload or injuries.

Simultaneously, we offer free training in first aid and the use of defibrillators, which we have installed on our facilities. Working and rest schedules in our company aim to maximize the work-life balance and to ensure that all our staff has enough rest to keep good health.

On top of all this, we still keep our pledge with healthy food, without additives, of the utmost quality, and whose consumption we actively promote among the general public with special offers and campaigns.
At Procamp we have left gender discrimination behind us. In this framework, we deployed labour policies regarding equality to correct the long-lasting lack of women in management positions.

Our HR department actively works on the promotion of diversity in recruitment processes and staff selection. We also enforce a strict pay equity between men and women at every company level, which we guarantee through a wage transparency policy.

In this regard and going back to the third SDG we allow our staff to tailor their working hours in order to ease the conciliation of their working and personal duties, either adapting their working time or encouraging teleworking in available positions.
The benefits of the seventh SDG are two folded: We reduce our carbon footprint and help fight global warming, all the while boosting the competitiveness of our company.

We remodelled all of our facilities, updating windows and wall insulation to improve the energy efficiency in ouf offices and warehouses. On the latter, we also installed double access doors to reduce temperature leaks during daily operations.

In addition to that, the roofs of our facilities have all been refurbished and now feature solar panels, thus generating clean energy, which we also use in charging stations for electric cars, open to both our staff and the general population. We have also installed solar panels to the non arable lands within our property.
Procamp works directly on the land, therefore, this SDG is indispensable and fully determines our company’s operation.

We have renovated our machinery, diminishing both our environmental impact and carbon emissions. We also reduced the agrochemicals applied to our crops, and those we use are entirely biodegradable, when we haven’t directly converted said crops to biological ones.
We work under a strict policy regarding waste management and disposal, aiming to greatly reduce waste generation due to our daily operation. Simultaneously, we work with local purveyors, contributing to the economy of our area while also avoiding unnecessary long-distance shipments.
All of our packaging are made of reusable materials like glass, ceramic and cardboard, and when we must use plastic products, we use recycled ones.
